Description

Westerado: Double Barreled is Ostrich Banditos’ homage to Spaghetti Westerns about dirty pasts, consequences and taking a hold of your future. When your family is murdered by a mysterious desperado, you set out into the world to take revenge. Take control of your own fate and that of others, all using your trusty shooting iron. If words aren’t enough to persuade a character, draw your revolver and see what happens. You can shoot whomever, whenever you like. Be an outlaw or a saint, explore the open world, meet a varied cast of characters and decide how you want your revenge story to unfold.

History

Back in January 2013 we released the original Westerado on the Adult Swim Games portal to be playable for free. To our delight the game was received positively by critics and players alike, and it received two Dutch Game Awards and was an IGF 2014 Student Showcase finalist. At this point we still had loads of ideas about expanding and improving the game. Adult Swim Games agreed the game had more potential and with them as our publisher, we decided to create a bigger, better, badder and funnier version of the original Westerado, named Westerado: Double Barreled. We’ve started working on it in January 2014 and plan to release it late 2014.
